My latest creation for PFATT this month. She is a sweet bunny.... called Grace. A lot of thought and work went into this artwork and she will make a wonderful addition to your spring decor. Her hat and the eggs in the basket are handmade. She is hand sculpted by me. No molds are used in any of my creations. I hope you will go over to pfatt marketplace on the 10th to see her. All new items will make their debut on the 10th.

Trying something New

Trying something new is both a challenge and a thrill when the something new is something that you admire so much of the works of others. (hope that makes sence) I have loved the Primitive cross stitching that I have seen for so long now always thinking that I surely could not do that .... it looks so hard and time consuming and you have to have the patients of Job to even try that.... Well I finally mustarded up the courage to just dive in. It is not quite as hard .... as a matter of fact it is absolutely the most fun I have had in a few weeks. ( I'm in a creative slump ). I have Wendy of Pineberry Lane to thank. She has inspired me and also encouraged me to attempt my first prim stitchery. I have everything I need so I'm starting my new venture. I know I'm going to love it..... (to be continued)......

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

It is that time of year again where we stop and reflect on our lives and ourselves for the past year. I know that 2011 was a year of challenges and happiness for me. Emotions were like a roller coaster, I found out I have RA.... and it took so long to find the perfect combination of medication for me to function semi normally. Had a great summer in with my family, golfing and road trips, and being able to get back to creating. Then just when I thought everything was going well that same medication that was to help me started to do a number on my liver. Well without going into a long drawn out story... I had a spot on my liver, had a CT scan then a MRI.... the week of anticipation was the true roller coaster. It was the week before Christmas and I was worried. Thank God for MRI's... it was determined that what I have is not the worst thing possible.... it is something that I can live a long time with.

I had a wonderful Christmas... and hope that all of you did too. I also hope you have the most wonderful New Year ever... whether you are a customer of mine... a fellow artist... or a faithful follower of my blog. I appreciate all your comments and well wishes, and I hope to make the most of the new year.

This is a sneak peek at what I am offering this month at my PFATT marketplace shoppe. I have made another sheep but made him into a pull toy and then I have the adorable Kaylana. This doll is just that and she is a big girl, at 42" tall. She is wearing a vintage dress and also vintage shoes. You will have to go over and take a peek at them on the 10th at 10 am Pacific time. A New Year

Happy New Year friends.....
Wow the year went by so fast and I am late as usual in getting my greetings out. I have a lot to be thankful for in 2010 but with that said I hope 2011 brings some relief from the RA. I am doing a bit better and hopefully the medicine is taking hold and things may get back to a workable normalcy. I would love to sew again. I have great ideas I just cant get them from the drawing board to the internet..... but I will make use of any day that I can sew or create.
I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and may you be blessed in 2011 with all that you desire. I wish you health, happiness, and the love of your family and friends.

I just finished up my first little snow flake for the season. With the Rheumatoid Arthritis it takes me a bit longer but here she is. I call her Twinkle.... She is just too cute and will be in my WSOAPP shoppe till someone adopts her.

Oh Happy Day!!!

I am so happy to finally have been able to sew something. The pain is still disabling but I was able to get through with few stops. I am paying for it today but today I rest. I am pleased to offer this sweet Pilgrim Frog...."Lilly" on my PFATT page. You can see her on the 10th and if you cant resist you can purchase her too. Hehehehehehe!!!!

She is a Soft in the Head design and I just wanted to make her a pilgrim. She really is a sweetie!!!

Decisions' Decisions' Decisions'

Isn't it funny how life just throws you a curve ball..... how things happen and you just wasn't counting on that.... how you just didn't see that coming!!!! That is really how it has been for me for the past two months. I know most of you know that I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.... I thought they had found me a miracle drug that was going to let me live my life normally just keep going on doing what I do and no interruptions. Oh well if that were only true. It seems the medication just isn't doing what it needs to do to keep me flexible enough to walk, open a can, cook a meal, brush my teeth, get dressed without help sometimes, and the biggest kicker is to SEW!!!! (Typing is taking me forever) ... There is something new every day.... you just never know what part will work on what day. I have used my hands all my working life.... 30 years as a professional pet groomer.... specializing in my scissor work,,,, I guess I used it all up! I knew that career would end and then it was off to do my favorite thing of all.... making my dolls, sewing and creating. See that's were the funny part comes in..... I though I had more time to do the fun stuff. Maybe not.....

I am to see a Rheumatoligist in a few day.... and I hope that we can find a medication that will allow my hands to work... or at least let me find a new way of doing things. I don't know what God has in store for me but I am listening to him real close to find out what he wants me to do.

I don't know when I will have anything new .... maybe next week.... maybe next year... I am going to keep on trying. I don't know if it is premature to close all my selling shoppes' .... I don't know weather to pack away all my needles and fabric.... I have many decisions to make.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Yes that is what I have. I know some of you may have thought I fell off the face of the earth but for the past month or so I have been tying to figure out what has been happening to me. I finally went to the doctor and it is confirmed.

I want to apologize to those who have been waiting for orders.... I just could not do anything till I got on some kind of medication. I waited so long and was in so much pain that I could hardly walk and could not even move my fingers to sew.

I am happy to report that I am doing so much better and can now function like a normal person again.... well as normal as I can be....!!! =)

I hope to have new items on the Internet as soon as I can get some of my back orders finished up and get reorganized!!!!
