I have created a sweet ole soul I call the Gift Giver.... inspired by the disaster on the east coast.... here's hoping there is Gift Giver for those who are left homeless and without the everyday luxuries that we all take for granted. I am tickled to the core!!!!

 I... along with the some of my sister artisans from the MAIDA group, are in the autumn issue of Prims Magazine. This is a first for me... I have never had anything published before and am very proud to have my work in this magazine. We accepted the Storybook challenge and these ladies delivered. Such a fine assortment of characters from Miss Muffet to Rapunzel..... Puss "N" Boots to Red Riding Hood.....  they all came to life in our minds and in our hearts as we meet the challenge head on. Speared on by our leader Dixie Redmond we watched lumps of clay and yards of fabric become memories of our youth. Thank You Dixie and all the ladies at MAIDA for encouragement and a whole new world of creativity.

PFATT Marketplace preview

My latest creation for PFATT this month. She is a sweet bunny.... called Grace. A lot of thought and work went into this artwork and she will make a wonderful addition to your spring decor. Her hat and the eggs in the basket are handmade. She is hand sculpted by me. No molds are used in any of my creations. I hope you will go over to pfatt marketplace on the 10th to see her. All new items will make their debut on the 10th.

Trying something New

Trying something new is both a challenge and a thrill when the something new is something that you admire so much of the works of others. (hope that makes sence) I have loved the Primitive cross stitching that I have seen for so long now always thinking that I surely could not do that .... it looks so hard and time consuming and you have to have the patients of Job to even try that.... Well I finally mustarded up the courage to just dive in. It is not quite as hard .... as a matter of fact it is absolutely the most fun I have had in a few weeks. ( I'm in a creative slump ). I have Wendy of Pineberry Lane to thank. She has inspired me and also encouraged me to attempt my first prim stitchery. I have everything I need so I'm starting my new venture. I know I'm going to love it..... (to be continued)......

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

It is that time of year again where we stop and reflect on our lives and ourselves for the past year. I know that 2011 was a year of challenges and happiness for me. Emotions were like a roller coaster, I found out I have RA.... and it took so long to find the perfect combination of medication for me to function semi normally. Had a great summer in with my family, golfing and road trips, and being able to get back to creating. Then just when I thought everything was going well that same medication that was to help me started to do a number on my liver. Well without going into a long drawn out story... I had a spot on my liver, had a CT scan then a MRI.... the week of anticipation was the true roller coaster. It was the week before Christmas and I was worried. Thank God for MRI's... it was determined that what I have is not the worst thing possible.... it is something that I can live a long time with.

I had a wonderful Christmas... and hope that all of you did too. I also hope you have the most wonderful New Year ever... whether you are a customer of mine... a fellow artist... or a faithful follower of my blog. I appreciate all your comments and well wishes, and I hope to make the most of the new year.

Newest Creation for PFATT Marketplace

Oh it has been a busy summer and also a HOT one but I really do hate to see it go. The only thing that makes up for it is that fall is rapidly approaching and look who is here to start us out.
